The Backstory: A Business Partnership Rooted in Family & Friendship

Family and relationships have always come first for Falkenberg Construction, and recently, they went through the process of transitioning ownership of the company to the next generation. 

Tony Gomez and Gary Arnold, two friends, shared ownership of Falkenberg Construction for 37 years. 

The company from its inception has been a minority-owned firm and prides itself on providing exceptional customer service. Falkenberg Construction is a sought-after, award-winning construction firm that specializes in building industrial, commercial, government, and educational buildings. 

The Deal Story: Passing the Torch, with Ease

The owners’ two sons, Moses (Tony’s son), and Chris (Gary’s son), have worked for them for 20 years and have both served as Vice Presidents in the organization. Moses and Chris, along with John Castro, who is the nephew of Tony, and who has worked for Falkenberg for 7 years, will be equal partners of Falkenberg Construction with Mr. Castro serving as the new CEO. Going forward, Gary Arnold and Tony Gomez plan to retire after some continued transition time handing off their duties to John, Moses, and Chris. 

Generational succession transitions like this can be complicated and tedious. To relieve that burden, our team served as the “deal sherpa” for Falkenberg Construction. We helped all parties successfully execute the company’s succession plan and provided the detail and oversight Falkenberg Construction deserved as one generation passed the torch to the next.  

With a new generation at the helm and enriched by the values of quality and experience that have been instilled by Gomez and Arnold, Falkenberg will continue to provide quality construction services to diverse industries across Dallas and Central Texas.
